This Remington manufactured early variation receiver with smaller ejection port hole and scope mounting groove is for the model 581 bolt action rimfire rifle and is in very good condition retaining most of its original blue finish with light wear and a few specks of surface rust. This is the only part on the model 581 rifle that is tracked as a firearm therefore it will need to be transferred through a dealer. Receivers do not qualify as a C&R based on BATFE's guide lines.
